My goals for week 4 were to: find other children to test on besides family, rewrite interview questions to be less leading, compare another children's book to the interactive pop-up book to see if they find it more engaging in HX testing round 3, to start scheduling user testing with Ruhan, to download the program to use the vinyl cutter, to meet sometime this week to work on more paper circuit pop-ups, and to continue working on illustrations
Some of these goals are based on the incoming weeks so they are not achieved yet. Though my partner and I do have Ruhan searching for users for our next rounds of user testing. I did get some more work done on illustrations and created enough that we were able to make a few pop-up pages with. We also began to work on some circuit ideas; we didn't get as far as I wanted, but it was a learning process and trial and error.
This week we didn't have any particular feedback to integrate, but our sponsors saw our physical pages and were very excited and impressed with our work. What we learned is that it may be too difficult to include circuits right on the fold of the page, so it would be beneficial to put our circuits on the left or the right rather than the center of the page. We also learned how to easily incorporate our illustrations using pop-up techniques; this worked well and helped us develop skills needed to complete various pop-ups.
